BAJI and Drop the I-Word Conduct a Virtual Book Club

Join BAJI (Black Alliance for Just Immigration) and Drop the I-Word as they continue the weekly virtual book club dialogue on Isabelle Wilkerson's "The Warmth of Other Suns". In 2010, Sisters of the Desert Sun had the honor of discussing this work and the lives of African Americans who migrated to northern states with one of our member’s mother visiting from Alabama.  We learned a lot that day about her personal experience in the segregated south, the impact Jim Crow had on the lives of Black people, and the legacy it left behind.
