Sisters of the Desert Sun's Year in Review

What a great year for SDS!  We have had an opportunity to read some outstanding work by a variety of authors.  It has been an absolute honor to be in the company of so many amazing women.  Together we have learned from the past, shared the challenges of the present and hope for the future.  We have mourned the loss of dear friends and have celebrated each others' triumphs.  Sisters of the Desert Sun continues to be more than a book club.  We are a family of women with different life experiences who have found and celebrate the commonality between us.  As we continue to embrace the importance of literature, we continue to forward our mission to create community - promote leadership through literacy - and advance cultural competence... one book at a time.
