April is National Poetry Month

Sisters of the Desert Sun will celebrate National Poetry Month with what has become our annual 'Slam'.  Members will share work from their favorite poets, inspirational pieces, and display their unending talent by reciting original work.  We will also be discussing the Poetry Foundation's publication Poetry 100 Years, an anthology of poetry featuring artists past and present.  Keep abreast of what's happening in the world of poetry by visiting their website at http://www.poetryfoundation.org/poetrymagazine/ and register for e-mail newsletters or  subscribe to their publication.
