Sisters of the Desert Sun Host Author, Lorin Akers - March 2017

Sisters of the Desert Sun welcomed Lorin Akers for an advanced publishing presentation of his memoir, “Not by My Hand: A Father’s War Room Whispers”.  

Lorin is a Christian father of an 11-year-old daughter and an Air Force Veteran. He is a stage actor with credits in film and television, as well as a voice-over artist. His early television work includes appearances on The Closer, Vegas, CSI New York, CSI Miami, My Wife and Kids, and Crossing Jordan. A sample of his Stage work includes To Kill A Mockingbird, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, as well as understudy work in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom via the Actor’s Theater Company at the Herberger Theater Center. He did the Tucson Voiceover for the August Wilson production of, Jitney, as well as numerous commercials, and other internet webisodes.
